The body of a woman was found this evening at an apartment complex on Spruce Street, off James Brown Boulevard, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office says.

Deputy Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen identified the victim is Jquanda Johnson, 27. She was last seen Wednesday by neighbors.

Bernadette Rouse, whose aunt lives next door to  Johnson in the M.M. Scott Apartments in the 800 block of Spruce Street, said residents had been knocking on the door for two days and that maintenance workers finally entered the apartment and found the body this evening.

Bowen said that the case is a homicide but that no other information was available.
